3D scanning is a modern measurement technique used in industrial metrology, enabling fast and precise digital representation of object geometry (point clouds or 3D mesh models). This technology is applied in quality control, shape deviation analysis, CAD model comparisons and reverse engineering.

Metroserwis offers the training “3D Scanning — industrial metrology”, conducted both on-site and remotely. The training is practical and aimed at metrologists, measuring machine operators and quality engineers.

Training scope

Training can be conducted at the client’s site, at an agreed location or as interactive online sessions with an instructor.

Participation in the training enables effective use of 3D scanning technology, shorter measurement times and expanded quality control and geometric analysis capabilities.

Fundamentals of 3D scanning and non-contact techniques
Operation of 3D scanners and measurement systems
Preparing the object for scanning
Acquiring point clouds
Filtering and processing measurement data
Creating mesh models (STL)
Comparing scanning results with CAD models
Shape and dimensional deviation analysis
Generating measurement reports
Application of 3D scanning in quality control and reverse engineering
